Winter Reading Program

Children up to the ages of 12 years can earn a ticket to Monster Jam and/or Disney on Ice by reading 5 books per ticket voucher.

Everyone else can pick up a game board and read to earn chances to win our “Snuggle Up with a Good Book” basket.

Lego Club

Will be held on the second Monday of every month from 5:00-6:30 pm.

We provide the Legos, you provide the inspiration!

Dungeons and Dragons

Every second and fourth Monday of the month starting at 5 pm and running until 6:30 pm, DM Tom will be leading us on a continuous adventure through Helthane. For more information check out our Library Clubs tab and look for D&D.

Hooks and Needles

Hooks and Needles is an informal meeting for patrons who have interest in knitting, crocheting, cross stitch, quilting, sewing, or embroidery.

  • The group meets the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the Month

  • Meetings are held at the Village of Genoa City Village Hall

  • Meetings begin at 10 am and end at noon

  • Attendance is not mandatory, there is no charge to join

Members bring in whatever project(s) they are currently working on. Projects are shared with others in the group at a show and tell period. Members celebrate each others’ creativity. They also freely exchange information about:

  • New patterns to try

  • Books, new and old to check out/purchase

  • Podcasts and websites to follow

  • Local yarn shops, quilt shows, classes being offered, and festivals or fairs to attend

Pokemon Club

Love all things Pokemon? Join our club for games, crafts, and more! Club is every first Wednesday of the month from 4:00 pm to 6:30 pm.

Grimm Readers Wednesday Night Book Club

The first meeting of the Grimm Readers will be Wednesday January 15th at 5 pm.

Meetings will then continue every third Wednesday of the month. Members will receive a copy of the books at the every meeting. The first book will be “All Systems Red” by Martha Wells.

Crafternoon

Want to learn how to crochet or knit? Stop by the second and fourth Thursday of every month at 3:30 pm and someone will be here to show you the ropes.

Keep on Bookin’ Thursday Night Book Club

Every second Thursday of the month starting at 6 pm, the Keep on Bookin’ group will be discussing their newest read.

Thursday January 9th the group will be discussing “The Housemaid is Watching” by Frieda McFadden.

Story Hour with Ms. Bre

Every Friday at noon Ms. Bre will read a book and have a fun craft for the kiddos! Story and craft are aimed at children ages 3 to 5, but younger siblings are always welcome to join.
